A GMO ingredient, or genetically modified organism, is a plant or other organism whose genetic makeup has been modified in a laboratory using genetic engineering or transgenic technology. This creates combinations of plant genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods. There is no scientific consensus on the safety of GMOs and therefore consumers looking for GMO-free products should choose products that are Non-GMO Project Verified, like Oroweat Organic Breads

The ketogenic diet (or keto diet) is a high fat, low carb diet. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake (5-10% of daily calorie intake, or around 15-50g net carbs) and consuming high amounts of fat (70-80% of daily calorie intake). This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. When this happens, your body starts burning your stored fat and use it for energy.1

It means that Oroweat® Organic matches 100% of the energy that goes into baking and delivering our organic breads with green certificates. So for every kWh of electricity we use to bake Oroweat® Organic Bread and for every liter of fossil fuel our vehicles use to deliver our organic breads, a kWh from a renewable source is put back on the grid, and a liter of green fuel is blended into the Canadian fuel system. That way, Oroweat® Organic offsets its energy consumption and helps creating demand for green energy.

The best place to store your bread is on the counter until the best before date or in the freezer for up to three (3) months. Bread stored in the fridge tends to go stale faster.

During hot and humid weather, it is best to keep it in a cool place like a cabinet, since mould can grow quickly in these conditions.
